'Relaunch of the Cantina' (Day 1)
The neon signs glistened in the moonlight as the Cantina staff removed the coverings of the large scaled from the outside of the Cantina. The sign which was covered for months was over-hauled after old signs were taken down and covered off. Laylei stood outside as she signaled one of her staff to stop hauling the lot away, walking over slowly to her staff-member she lifted the covering off the disposed sign as she ran her fingers across the trashed neon light. 'The Underground' the sign spelled, Laylei gazing down upon it with a grimace as she took a moment to say goodbye to the old, almost foreign way she allowed things to go those months ago before her ordered shutdown of her establishment. "We'll be better" She muttered under her breath, though her face looked a tad pained almost as if it was to have to reassure herself of the idea and not making it so much of a statement. Her mind drifted into the past momentarily as she breathed evenly in and out, taking in the scene that was her relaunch party. It was all hers. Finally. No fighting, no bickering, no nagging, no resentment, It was finally all hers. The work, the frustration, the deals, the shady business, everything that had worked so hard for has finally come to fruition in this one vindicating moment as she finally stood to herald a new day, a new night, her night. With a glorious nod to the worker, she allows the sign to leave her presence and rid herself of the evil that was memories. For memories are the most frightening thing, and the most wonderful.
Continuing to look at the entrance to her bar, her lip twitches as she looks at monitor wrapped around her wrist as she quickly taps it to check the time. 'Shit' she thought as she looked around to see if things were almost in place. She clapped her hands furiously as she saw her security staff simply meandering around like imbeciles and the band she had hired at the entrance were simply chatting up one another like they weren't being played to do something, like play some friggin' music. "Chop chop morons, get to your places before I feed you to a Rancor for my own amusement!" She said letting her voice hit a louder sound as she stared at her staff to get to their stations. "You three, set up the security checkpoint and make sure if they're not on the list to not let them into VIP! This is a 'everyone' place but it ain't that friendly do you understand ?" She said pointing her finger at the security staff who immediately scrambled to setup the Cantina's security checkpoint at the entrance. "And you lot! You're a band! Play some music! Cause you all surely aren't pleasant looking enough to do anything else! I should've just hired a bunch of Twi'leks if all you lot were going to do is stand there." Laylei said returning her attention to the band this time. The Bith all looked at Laylei and simply began moving slowly to assemble all their gear, speaking the gibberish that was the Bith language.
Laylei stood outside for twenty minutes her mood souring slowly as she simply watched everyone get into place to her satisfaction. Arms crossed the woman simply just gave the staff outside a dismissive nod as she walked to the interior of her bar to make sure the rest of the bottom of the barrel fools she collected to work for her were done finishing up. Walking swiftly into the main area of her cantina she came to a stop and took it all in. To her left her bar was teeming with life as her bartenders finished the prepping for the night, the lights of the bar illuminating the entire lounge area with a soft glow of blue and red. A hue that made the cantina just feel so much more sensual in a way. Focusing her attention to the stage she smiled as the band who seemed to be a tad more professional than the idiots outside had already started playing music, with two Twi'leks standing on opposite sides of the stage writhing their body on beat to the music that the band played. The ambiance was there. It was almost time.
Smirking in the glory of it all Laylei simply stood and took it all in. Exhaling after a few moments she blinks in confusion as she feels a poke in her side. Looking down she smiles as she sees her small assistance looking up at her with beady little eyes. "Are you excited my little hutt-pie ?" She said as she squatted down at Jawa her proded her softly. Lay had named him 'Po' after one of the words he said to her when she asked him what his name was many years ago sounded similar to that. No she didn't speak his tongue, but for some odd reason she never had to. They grew a bond and she has took him with her everywhere she has gone. The Jawa nodded his head vigorously at Laylei as he handed her a holopad listing all the information for the grand opening.
The woman lightly grabbed the item out of the Jawa's hand, standing back up and patting her little helper on the head softly. "Thank you Po. I think it is time to commence. Shall we start the festivites ?" She asked, letting out a bit of excitement in her tone as she looked at the clapping Jawa. She nodded in agreement with the little thing and pressed a button on the holopad, ushering the Jawa to one of the couches in the VIP section of the club "Then let the night commence Po, we'll need a good seat for this."
With the activation of the official opening of the Cantina the Coruscant lower levels were light. All of the advertisement on the digital billboards flashed to a livestream of the Cantina. The street spotlights all light up at the entrance of the building, as well as flashes in the sky illuminated with bright lights as the club finally opened back up to the public. The live-streams fixating on the entrance to the club with a banner streaming across it stating 'The Forgotten Cantina is now open!'.
Laylei's voice could be heard as a prerecorded audio of herself flooded the streets from the speakers of the lower Coruscant alleys and centers. "To all that hear this message. Let it be known that 'The Forgotten Cantina' is now open! Let the rags, the riches, the misfits, the convicts, the elite, and most importantly the forgotten hear my voice and let it be known that you and your money are welcomed here! Let us revel in the nights, enjoy the entertainment, friends, enemies, and everything in between as you come to what we have come to known as a sanctuary and a free place from life outside my Cantina walls. My name is Laylei Limora and if you've been in the lower levels for a bit I know you know who I am. So come, enjoy the atmosphere provided, the services offered and even the deals that can be arranged. As this is the place to do it, because remember. People may be forgotten but the forgotten never forget, The Forgotten Cantina is open ladies and Gentlemen!"
With that the sky brightened with fireworks and the streets became loud with chatter and commotion as the long awaited return of the cantina had commenced. Surely this night and many more will be one for the books and the fun and intrigue to be had here will be great.
Get ready and gear up because after all it is, Just another night in the cantina.
